Simon Bolivar was from South America. He was known for his courage to gain independence for his country and the whole Latin America. He gained their independence by fighting with Spain. He was a political leader and he went to Great Britain to go study more politics. The country Bolivia is named after him because that was the first country that he freed. He was basically famous for being a hero and a revolutionists for liberating South America from Spain.
